Where is the need for this project?

Leap Confronting Conflict is a UK specialist in Youth and Conflict. It offers conflict management training to promote understanding of the causes and consequences of youth conflict, to share skills in handling and transforming conflict and to prevent the escalation of everyday conflict into violence. Leap works with young people aged 13 to 21 to equip them with practical skills to prevent and manage conflict and violence.

Where do you hope this project can go?

Many go on to become peer mediators, young trainers and community volunteers. projects are delivered in schools and communities and often target areas of disadvantage and conflict hotspots. The Leap Academy of Youth and Conflict carries out action research, develops new materials and frameworks and offers further training and a suite of qualifications. Practitioner training for staff development in organisations and teams to help develop UK specialists is delivered across the UK to schools, colleges, charities, YOS/YOTS police forces and 3rd sector and community groups.
