Trabasack is three healthcare products in one, a tray, a bag and a switch or communication aid mounting technology. Designed to help improve social inclusion for wheelchair users by providing a level surface anywhere.
Existing solutions are expensive, clinical looking or form a social barrier that is difficult to attach and can be a deterrent to wanting to eat and drink in public. Trabasack is a low cost, easy to carry lap tray and bag that fulfills a real need for wheelchair users but has potential in a wider market.
It has: a unique ergonomic shape, is machine washable, easy to use ringpull zips and is soft and safer for people with epilepsy or who self harm. Unlike existing trays it attaches to any chair, can be carried easily as a shoulder bag, rucksack or bumbag. It holds personal possessions such as medication, cups, medical devices, phones, laptops or communication aids.
